5/5StoryBefore we came to Zoara we did some research in the diamond district in manhattan about setting options. Our favorites were the tension and the bezel - the prong was just too prosaic for us and we wanted something more unique. Then we did a search on the comparison shopping sites. Just know that a straight up google search for engagement rings won't get you the best prices because the sites at the top can afford to have higher prices because they get the most traffic. To find the good deals you have to dig a little deeper which is what we did and we came up on Zoara which scored the lowest prices on I'd say something like 60% of the shopping sites we went to. Looking for a half bezel and a tension, we settled on the half bezel because there was more of a selection and it just looked like a safer bet. When we picked out the setting we went to the diamond selection tool which was easily navigable and the most important thing to us was clarity and color. We wanted an internally flawless diamond or VVSI, but nothing less than that. I still have never figured out why the best color grade for a diamond is D but that's the way the diamond industry runs so whatever. We organized a payment plan with Zoara because we had to be tightly budgeted last month because we were moving and had all these extra expenses and they obliged quite nicely.August 27, 2009Author: Rita

I liked it because I think it makes a really dfferent statement than most diamond engagement rings that just scream "look at me!" in an indelicate sort of way.
